ANTOINE ALBEAU

Antoine Albeau (born 17 June 1972 in La Rochelle, France) is the most titled French sportsman ever, boasting 26 world championships across windsurfing disciplines—slalom, speed, freestyle, formula, and super‑X—and holding multiple speed sailing world records including 53.49 knots over 500 m in 2024.

He began windsurfing at age 5 at his father’s sailing school in La Couarde‑sur‑Mer on Île de Ré and turned professional by 1992. Today, he co‑manages that very school—École de Voile de la Couarde—offering windsurfing, wingfoiling, SUP, catamaran lessons, rentals, and private coaching with certified instructors (including his nephews, world champions themselves).

Antoine Albeau uses the Patrol  420 as his primary coaching and support vessel, combining its compact yet durable design with safety and convenience for teaching watersports. The RIB’s thoughtful layout—like tow bars, secure seating, storage, and rugged construction—makes it especially suited for his sailing school’s dynamic needs.
