Highfield Boats guarantees its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the periods specified below:

The entire vessel is covered under warranty for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase.

The hull structure is covered by a limited warranty for five (5) years from the date of purchase.

For vessels used for commercial purposes or rental, the entire vessel is covered under warranty for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

To qualify for warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:

If the owner performs maintenance independently, Highfield Boats may require proof of proper maintenance for future warranty claims.

The vessel must be purchased from an authorized Highfield dealer.

Routine maintenance, as outlined in the Owner’s Manual, must be performed as recommended.

The powder coating on Highfield boats is warranted for two (2) years against manufacturing defects. However, this warranty excludes damage resulting from:

  • Collision, fire, theft, riot, or other external events.
  • Unauthorized alterations, modifications, or tampering.
  • Environmental factors such as acid rain, chemical fallout, industrial pollution, bird droppings, tree sap, hail, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Corrosion of the aluminum alloy bottom due to improper installation of stainless steel or other accessories.
  • Corrosion due to stray current induced by external source or internal source from lack of maintenance of the unit.

Fiberglass Hull Warranty: The fiberglass hull structure and components are warranted for Five (5) years against defects in material and workmanship.

This warranty excludes:

Surface finish deterioration due to normal wear.

Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, or improper maintenance.

Any boat operated with an outboard motor exceeding the maximum horsepower rating, as specified on the serial plate attached to the transom.

Osmosis warranty; the boat is protected again osmosis for a period of 5 years – limited warranty. like the tube

To obtain warranty service, the customer must:

  1. Provide Highfield Boats or an authorized dealer with a reasonable opportunity to inspect and repair the product.
  2. Deliver the product to an authorized Highfield Boats dealer for assessment.
  3. Present proof of purchase and ownership at the time of the claim.

If the issue is not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for all related labor, material, and associated costs. Customers should not send products or components directly to Highfield Boats unless expressly requested.

Warranty extension becomes available upon proper registration of the product by the owner via Highfield Boats warranty website: http://warranty.highfieldboats.com. Product must be registered within sixty (60) days from the date the product is purchased.

Highfield Boats’ sole and exclusive obligation under this warranty is limited to, at our discretion, repairing a defective part, replacing such part or refunding the purchase.

  • Year 3: 60% of repair costs covered.
  • Year 4: 40% of repair costs covered.
  • Year 5: 30% of repair costs covered.

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, improper storage, or inadequate transportation.
  • Any Highfield boat operated contrary to the instructions in the Owner’s Manual.
  • Routine maintenance, adjustments, normal wear and tear, discoloration, oxidation, abrasion, mildew, or punctures.
  • Damage resulting from operating the boat without proper inflation or with an outboard motor exceeding the maximum horsepower rating.
  • Expenses related to haul-out, launch, towing, storage, transportation, rental, loss of income, inconvenience, or other incidental/consequential damages.
  • Powder coating deterioration due to exposure, improper maintenance, or failure to promptly repair scratches and dents.
  • Use of the boat for racing or competitive activities, which voids the warranty.
  • Damage from exposure to harsh or corrosive chemicals.
  • Corrosion caused by, including but not limited to, contact between dissimilar metals, stray current, electrolysis, reversed polarity connections, inadequate maintenance, insufficient cleaning, worn or depleted sacrificial anodes, improper installation, or other external influences beyond the manufacturer’s control.
  • Rigging and third-party equipment, including:
    • Engines, electronics, trailers, navigation equipment, or any other components supplied by third parties. These must be addressed directly with the respective manufacturers.
  • Any damage caused by aftermarket modifications.
  • Repairs performed by unauthorized service providers or without prior approval from an authorized Highfield distributor or dealer.

The limited warranty may be transferred once to a subsequent owner for the remaining duration of the original warranty period. However, this does not apply to vessels used for commercial or rental purposes.

To transfer the warranty, the new owner must email the following details to [email protected]:

  • A copy of the sale agreement.
  • The HIN (Hull Identification Number) of the vessel.
  • The name, address, and email of the new owner.

Should I choose a PVC or Hypalon tube?

PVC is an economical and practical choice if your boating is light or occasional. It’s designed for low-intensity recreational outings and performs best when stored under cover between uses and given regular applications of UV-inhibiting treatments made for inflatable boats. PVC is ideal for mild conditions, especially in climates away from the equator with short boating seasons.

Care note: PVC delivers excellent value when maintained correctly. As with any material, extended exposure to strong UV or certain chemicals can shorten its lifespan. Storing the boat protected from the elements helps preserve its look and durability over time.

Hypalon is the premium option for boaters who want long-lasting reliability and easy, low-effort maintenance. It’s engineered to withstand demanding conditions and regular use, with excellent resistance to UV exposure and chemicals. Hypalon is simple to clean, maintain, and ideal for frequent outings and challenging environments.

For sunny climates: In tropical or high-UV regions, Hypalon offers the best long-term protection and is the recommended choice to keep your boat in great condition season after season.

Highfield boats are constructed using a variety of marine-grade materials designed for durability, performance, and safety. Certain components—including but not limited to inflatable tubes, electrical wiring, hoses, upholstery, sealants, and accessories—may contain polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or other materials regulated under California Proposition 65.

California law requires businesses to provide warnings for products that may result in exposure to listed chemicals, even when exposure levels are well below federal safety standards and when the product is safe when used as intended.

This warning is provided to comply with California Proposition 65 and does not imply that Highfield boats or accessories are unsafe.

Aluminum is one of the finest materials available for marine construction. Its natural oxide layer gives it outstanding inherent corrosion resistance, and with straightforward care, your Highfield hull will deliver decades of reliable performance.

Three simple principles will keep it in top condition:

  • Keep dissimilar metals apart. Aluminum sits low on the galvanic scale, meaning direct contact with stainless steel, bronze, or copper fittings — in the presence of water — can cause gradual corrosion at the contact point. Always use nylon washers or plastic sleeves to isolate metal hardware from the hull, protect with anti-corrosion gels (Tef gel, Lanocote) and use aluminum-compatible sealant around any penetration.
  • Maintain clean, dry joints. Moisture trapped in gaps, under rubber matting, or beneath hardware bases can create a hidden corrosive environment. Rinse with fresh water after every saltwater use, ensure structural areas drain freely, and inspect welds and joints annually.
  • Practice good electrical hygiene. Stray electrical current is the most aggressive corrosion risk for aluminum — but entirely avoidable. Never use the hull as a ground return, use marine-grade wiring throughout, and inspect connections regularly for signs of moisture or wear. When berthed at a marina, be aware that faulty shore power systems on neighboring vessels can be a source of stray current.

A quick annual inspection of anodes, hull coating, and hardware is all it takes to catch any issue early. When in doubt, a qualified marine technician is your best resource.

Mantenimiento
