More than 350,000 spectators lined the legendary exit channel and the beaches to bid farewell to the skippers on Sunday the 6th of November for the start of the eighth eidition of the Vendée Globe. The huge legions of impassioned spectators, ashore and afloat as well as the 29 intreprid solo skippers who set off from Les Sables d'Olonne start line at 13:02 were treated to perfect weather conditions for the start of the legendary solo non stop round the world race. All went perfectly well for our fleet of 42 Highfields that ensured the safe kick-off of the event. The 42 Highfield support RIBs have been delivered as planned on the 14th of October in Les Sables d'Olonne. Highfield will be happy to meet you at the Vendee Globe Village. Opening: from Saturday, 15th October 2016 to Sunday, 6th November 2016. The Vendée Globe pontoon will be accessible every day from Saturday 15th October to Friday 4th November from 10 in the morning to 8 in the evening.
